HES - Health, Environment and Safety
Health, Environment and Safety (HES) has always been of utmost
importance to Benchmark Data Solutions. We have created detailed
policies and procedures and continually provide relevant training to
our team members. Establishing and maintaining a safe work environment
for our team has proven to be beneficial and rewarding for us as well
as our customers. Our safety training includes various courses
including Slips, Trips and Falls, Pollution Prevention, Back Safety
and Driver Safety which are offered continuously to ensure our team
and our environment remain safe.
Our Installation Technicians travel in vehicles which are maintained
per the manufacturers' recommendations and are replaced at 100,000
kilometres (62,137 Miles). All trucks are equipped with Personnel
Safety Harnesses, First Aid Kits and Fire Extinguishers.
Safety Meetings are held monthly. We encourage new ideas and
preventative safety solutions at these meetings.
Benchmark Data's HES management program includes

with the 301 incident report which provides automatic updating
of our 300 log which we keep in printed format on hand. |

to generate 300A summary reports annually allowing us to
calculate our Incidence Rates as soon as the OSHA.gov website
makes the annual statistics available. |
Instead of just implementing policies and procedures
we actually track who has read and understood them and encourage our
employees to provide feedback and suggestions to further improve
safety. Safety adherence has become a team building process.
Our online Substance Abuse and Awareness training program along with
tracking of this training and reporting access tells us who has read
and understood the policy ensuring our workplace is proactively
dealing with this danger.
